The KINGREAL Roll Former team has recently completed the manufacturing and assembly of a gutter roll forming machine, custom-designed for a client in Azerbaijan. This rain gutter making machine serves as a critical component for metal roofing systems in local construction projects, specifically designed to produce efficient and durable drainage system elements.
In modern construction, the precision of a drainage system directly impacts the overall lifespan of a roof. Addressing the specific requirements of their Azerbaijani client, KINGREAL Roll Former provided a fully automated gutter roll forming machine solution.
By utilizing a highly integrated automated control system, this gutter roll forming machine enhances production efficiency while ensuring consistent quality and stability in the finished gutters.
The rain gutter making machine has now entered the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) phase.
Core Requirements of Azerbaijani Client
The construction market in Azerbaijan places a high premium on the durability of metal building materials. As a local supplier of metal roofing systems, the client faced the challenge of efficiently transforming raw material coils into finished gutters. During the initial procurement phase, the client highlighted several key pain points:
●Demand for Production Continuity: The client required a fully automated process-encompassing uncoiling, roll forming, and cutting-to minimize manual intervention and meet the demands of large-scale projects.
●Requirement for Equipment Stability: Given the long-term nature of their projects, the client needed a rain gutter making machine with a highly rigid mechanical structure, capable of sustained, high-intensity operation with minimal downtime for maintenance.
●High-Precision Processing: Gutter installation is highly sensitive to dimensional accuracy; even minor deviations can lead to poor drainage or leaks at the joints. The client placed particular emphasis on the geometric precision of the formed profiles and the accuracy of the cut lengths.
●Specific Cross-Sectional Profile: To align with local architectural aesthetics and functional requirements, the client specified that the finished gutters must feature a standard half-round cross-section.
KINGREAL Roll Former Customized Gutter Roll Forming Machine Design
To address these challenges, the KINGREAL Roll Former engineering team developed a highly customized design for the gutter roll forming machine.
1. Material Handling Capability
This rain gutter making machine is specifically optimized for 0.6 mm thick PPGI sheets. Since 0.6 mm sheets are prone to springback or surface scratching during the forming process, high-precision design of the forming system is critical.
2. Main Roll Forming Machine
To ensure the structural integrity of the gutter roll forming machine, the main frame is constructed from welded 300H-section steel; this heavy-duty base effectively absorbs vibrations during operation.
●Forming Stations: The rain gutter making machine is equipped with 16 sets of forming rollers. This multi-stage, progressive deformation design ensures uniform stress distribution during the forming of semi-circular gutters, preventing issues such as wavy edges or twisting in the finished product.
●Roller Material: The rollers are made of 45# steel, precision-machined via CNC, and finished with a hard-chrome plated surface. This hard-chrome layer enhances wear resistance and significantly reduces the coefficient of friction against the PPGI coating, effectively protecting the sheet surface from scratches.
●Shaft Support: The shafts are also crafted from 45# steel and undergo quenching and tempering (heat treatment) to ensure they remain free from deformation under high loads.
3. Hydraulic Cutting System
The gutter roll forming machine features an independent hydraulic cutting station.
●Cutting Method: It utilizes a stop-to-cut hydraulic shearing process, ensuring a clean, burr-free cross-section.
●Blade Material: The cutting blades are made of Cr12 die steel, subjected to vacuum quenching to achieve high hardness and exceptional durability.
●Precision Control: Through real-time data feedback from an encoder, integrated with a PLC control system, the cutting length of the finished product is maintained within a tolerance of ±1 mm-fully meeting the stringent precision requirements of the client in Azerbaijan.

Rigorous Factory Acceptance Testing
Currently, this gutter roll forming machine is undergoing its final-stage acceptance testing at the KINGREAL Roll Former facility.
Given that the client from Azerbaijan was unable to attend in person due to travel constraints, KINGREAL Roll Former provided a fully transparent online acceptance service.
Through real-time remote video conferencing and detailed technical data reports, the client was able to monitor the rain gutter making machine's performance as it happened.
The acceptance process strictly followed these four standardized steps:
External Inspection
Verification of the gutter roll forming machine's exterior finish, wiring neatness, bolt tightness, and the compliance of safety guards with the technical agreement.
No-Load Test
Operation of the rain gutter making machine without material, monitoring bearing temperature, motor noise, and the smoothness of the transmission system.
Trial Run
A test run using 0.6mm color-coated steel sheets to observe the operational coordination between the decoiler, leveling unit, and the main forming machine.
Finished Product Inspection
Sampling of 20 consecutive semi-circular gutters, with precise measurements taken for cross-sectional radius, opening width, and longitudinal straightness.
Following the acceptance, the KINGREAL Roll Former team performed fine-tuning and optimizations based on the test data. Anti-rust packaging and crating procedures were initiated only after receiving formal shipping authorization from the client in Azerbaijan.
Post-Delivery Support
The delivery of the project does not mark the end of the partnership. KINGREAL Roll Former has established a long-term support plan for the Azerbaijan project to ensure the gutter roll forming machine delivers maximum value at the client's facility:
●Logistics and Transport: Professional sea-freight packaging and logistics tracking to ensure the precision rain gutter making machine remains protected from moisture and impact during long-distance transit.
●Installation Guidance: Comprehensive technical documentation, instructional videos, and remote or on-site engineering support for installation and commissioning, enabling the client to begin production quickly.
●Preventive Maintenance: Periodic reminders for lubrication and inspection of wear-prone components, along with maintenance recommendations throughout the gutter roll forming machine's lifecycle.
●Spare Parts Supply: A dedicated spare parts inventory for the client, ensuring that critical components-such as cutting blades and proximity switches-can be delivered to Azerbaijan promptly when needed.
The successful implementation of this project in Azerbaijan further underscores KINGREAL Roll Former expertise in the manufacturing of customized rain gutter making machine.
This high-performance gutter roll forming machine will provide the client in Azerbaijan with long-term, stable production capabilities, helping them secure greater profit margins within the metal roofing market.
Moving forward, KINGREAL Roll Former will continue to refine the technology behind rain gutter making machines and deepen its presence in the global construction equipment market, remaining committed to delivering more efficient and precise machine solutions to clients worldwide.
